Bronagh Gallagher, born on April 26, 1972, in Derry, Northern Ireland, is a talented singer and actress known for her diverse contributions to both film and music. She began her artistic journey in her teenage years, engaging in drama and musical activities at school and joining the Oakgrove Theatre Company, an amateur dramatics group. Early in her career, Gallagher lent her voice as a backing singer for the local band The Listener.

Her breakthrough role came when she portrayed Bernie in the iconic film The Commitments, which showcased her natural flair for performance. Gallagher’s filmography includes notable appearances in acclaimed movies such as Thunderpants, You, Me & Marley, Divorcing Jack, and the cult classic Pulp Fiction. She also featured in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Last Chance Harvey, and Sherlock Holmes. On stage, she has captivated audiences in a production of The Street of Crocodiles by Théâtre de Complicité.

In 2004, Gallagher released her debut album, Precious Soul, under Salty Dog Records, produced by John Reynolds. The album included collaborations with renowned musician Brian Eno on tracks like "He Don't Love You" and "Hooks."
