Allison Mackie
Biography
Allison Mackie, born on January 25, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is an accomplished actress known for her work in film and theater. Standing at 5' 5½" (1.66 m), she is also the cousin of screenwriter C. Courtney Joyner. Mackie's filmography includes notable titles such as *Original Sin* (2001), *Those People* (2015), and *Sliver* (1993).
After completing her studies at Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, Mackie moved to New York City to hone her craft. She received training at both the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater and the Actor's Studio. While at the Neighborhood Playhouse, she collaborated with acclaimed actress Joanne Woodward to establish a small theater company called the Actor's Group of New York. This venture brought together a talented ensemble of artists, including Allison Janney, Dylan McDermott, Mark Moses, and writer Matthew Carnahan, along with a diverse array of designers and creatives such as Natasha Katz.
