Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt, born on February 17, 1981, is a versatile American actor and filmmaker known for his diverse body of work. He gained recognition early on with performances in notable films such as *A River Runs Through It* (1992), *Holy Matrimony* (1994), and *Angels in the Outfield* (1994), which earned him a Young Artist Award and a nomination for a Saturn Award. Gordon-Levitt became a household name playing Tommy Solomon on the television series *3rd Rock from the Sun* (1996–2001), earning three Screen Actors Guild Award nominations.
