Groucho Marx
Biography
Julius Henry "Groucho" Marx (October 2, 1890 – August 19, 1977) was a renowned American comedian and actor celebrated for his sharp wit and humor. His quick-paced delivery, often filled with suggestive wordplay, won him a devoted following. Groucho starred in 13 feature films alongside his brothers, collectively known as the Marx Brothers, where he was the third sibling in birth order. Additionally, he enjoyed a fruitful solo career, most famously as the host of the popular radio and television quiz show, You Bet Your Life. Groucho's iconic look, which he carried over from his vaudeville performances, featured a number of distinctive traits, including a pronounced stooped posture, round spectacles, a cigar, and notably, a thick layer of greasepaint for his mustache and eyebrows.
