Will Wright
Biography
William Henry "Will" Wright, born on March 26, 1894, in San Francisco, California, was a prominent American character actor known for his memorable performances, particularly in westerns and grumpy roles. Throughout his extensive career, he was featured in over 200 film and television productions. Wright's journey in the entertainment industry began in vaudeville, transitioned to the stage, and eventually led him to movies, radio, and television.
His filmography boasts a diverse array of titles, including notable works such as "Shadow of the Thin Man" (1941), "The Major and the Minor" (1943), "So Proudly We Hail!" (1943), "Road to Utopia" (1946), "Mother Wore Tights" (1947), "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" (1948), "Little Women" (1949), and "The Man with the Golden Arm" (1955). Among his most recognized roles was that of the corrupt city official Dolph Pillsbury in the Oscar-winning film "All the King's Men" (1949).
