He is widely recognized for portraying Eric Camden on the long-running WB/CW series *7th Heaven*, which aired from 1996 to 2007. In addition to this iconic role, Collins played Dayton King in the ABC series *No Ordinary Family* and Gene Porter in NBC's *Revolution*. His film career includes a memorable performance as Commander Willard Decker in the 1979 classic *Star Trek: The Motion Picture*.
