Alfred Lettieri, born on February 24, 1928, and passing away on October 18, 1975, was a prominent American actor recognized for his compelling performances, particularly his role as Virgil Sollozzo in the iconic film The Godfather. Lettieri's ability to exude menace and intensity on screen was deeply influenced by his interactions with actual organized crime figures, including the notorious Joey Gallo.
Making his cinematic debut at the age of 36, he first appeared in the television film The Hanged Man.
