Michèle Laroque, born on June 15, 1960, in Nice, Alpes-Maritimes, France, is a prominent French actress and comedian celebrated for her extensive contributions to film and television, with over 60 credits to her name since her career began in 1988. The daughter of a Romanian dancer and violinist, Doïna Trandabur, and a French real estate developer, Claude Laroque, Michèle’s diverse background enriched her artistic perspective.

Her early life was marked by a significant challenge; in 1979, a severe car accident left her with serious injuries and confined to a clinic for two years, a traumatic experience that ultimately inspired her to pursue acting. After her recovery in 1981, she honed her craft at the Municipal Conservatory of Antibes and quickly made her mark in Parisian theater. In 1985, she debuted in René Badache's play "Save the Women Babies," earning acclaim for her performances.

Laroque's theater career flourished throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, with notable roles including a performance in Ray Cooney’s "It’s Even Better in the Afternoon."
