Biography
Isabelle Nanty, born on January 21, 1962, is a celebrated French actress, film and theatre director, and screenwriter. Her career began as a teacher at the prestigious Cours Florent, where she honed her craft before making a significant impact on the film industry. Nanty garnered critical acclaim early on, earning a nomination for the César Award for Most Promising Actress for her role in the 1990 film *Tatie Danielle*. She went on to receive two additional César nominations for Best Supporting Actress for her performances in *Amélie* (2001) and *Not on the Lips* (2003).
Nanty’s extensive filmography showcases her versatility, with notable appearances in *La Belle Histoire* (1992) directed by Claude Lelouch, *Les Visiteurs* (1993), and *Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra* (2002). She also took on leading roles in *Les Tuche* (2011) and its sequel, *Serial Teachers* (2013) and *Serial Teachers 2* (2015).
