Ittoku Kishibe (岸部一徳) is a renowned Japanese actor, bassist, and lyricist, celebrated for his multifaceted contributions to the entertainment industry. His career began as a bassist in iconic Japanese rock bands like The Tigers, PYG, and the Inoue Takayuki Band, where he honed his musical talents before transitioning to acting. With an impressive filmography exceeding 115 films, Kishibe has established himself as a prominent figure in Japanese cinema.
In 1991, he received critical acclaim, winning the Japanese Academy Award for Outstanding Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in "The Sting of Death." His talent earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in 1994, further solidifying his status in the industry.
Beyond his work in film, Kishibe is also the founder of his own talent agency, UN et NEUF, and he serves as the president of "Kokoro Co., Ltd.," the private office of esteemed artist Kenji Sawada.
