Johan Philip "Pilou" Asbæk, a Danish actor born on March 2, 1982, has gained significant recognition for his diverse roles across film and television. He is particularly noted for portraying Euron Greyjoy in HBO's acclaimed series Game of Thrones. His filmography includes notable performances as Pontius Pilate in the 2016 remake of Ben-Hur, Bouchard in The Great Wall (2016), Batou in the live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell (2017), Captain Wafner in Overlord (2018), Cyrus in the superhero film Samaritan (2022), and Gage in Uncharted (2022). Additionally, Asbæk captivated audiences with his complex portrayal of Kasper Juul, a troubled spin doctor, in the Danish political drama Borgen.
