Biography
Tim Holt (February 5, 1918 – February 15, 1973) was an acclaimed American actor known for his performances in films, particularly in the Western genre. He rose to fame during the 1940s and early 1950s, featuring prominently in a total of forty-six B Westerns produced by RKO Pictures. Over a career that lasted more than forty years, Holt is particularly recognized for his significant roles in classic films such as The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948). His collaboration in the latter film is especially notable, as it remains one of his most memorable performances. Holt's contributions to cinema during a transformative period in film history cemented his status as a beloved figure in the entertainment industry.
