Moses Harry Horwitz, better recognized by his stage name Moe Howard (June 19, 1897 – May 4, 1975), was a prominent American comedian famed for his role as the head of The Three Stooges. This iconic comedy trio entertained audiences in films and on television for a remarkable forty years. Moe's signature hairstyle originated during his childhood when he decided to trim his curly locks with scissors, creating a unique and somewhat haphazard look reminiscent of a helmet or bowl.
