Biography
Charles Robinson, born on April 13, 1932, in Orange, New Jersey, was a distinguished actor whose career spanned several decades. He graduated magna cum laude and was a Phi Beta Kappa member from Princeton University in 1958, showcasing his academic excellence. Robinson’s passion for performing began early, as he embarked on his acting journey at the tender age of three on Broadway, thanks to his theatrical family.
His film debut came with the 1961 classic "Splendor in the Grass," followed by notable roles in "The Singing Nun," "Shenandoah," and "Take Her, She's Mine." Robinson also enjoyed success on the stage, with performances in Broadway productions such as "Tall Story," "The Pleasure of His Company," and "The Good Soup." After serving in the military, he relocated to Los Angeles with his wife, establishing a base conducive to his burgeoning film and television career.
In television, Robinson appeared in a variety of popular shows, including "Laramie," "The Alfred Hitchcock Show," and "Bachelor Father," earning recognition for his versatile performances. Charles Robinson passed away on July 22, 2006, in Palm Springs, California, due to complications from Parkinson's disease, leaving behind a legacy marked by talent and dedication to the arts.
