Biography
John Arthur Kennedy (February 17, 1914 – January 5, 1990) was a prominent American actor celebrated for his remarkable range in supporting roles both on stage and in film. His performances were particularly noted for their authenticity and naturalism, which shone through in his portrayals in the original Broadway productions of Arthur Miller's works. Kennedy received the Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Play in 1949 for his role in Miller's iconic play, Death of a Salesman. His impressive film career included a Golden Globe win for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the 1955 movie, Trial. Over the course of his career, he earned five nominations for the Academy Award, marking him as a significant figure in the acting community.
