Paul Georg Julius Henreid, known simply as Paul Henreid, was born on January 10, 1908, in Trieste, which was then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He passed away on March 29, 1992. Henreid was a multifaceted talent, excelling as an Austrian actor, director, producer, and writer.
He is particularly renowned for his performances in two iconic films: he portrayed Victor Laszlo in the classic movie Casablanca and played Jerry Durrance in Now, Voyager.
