Kevin McCarthy (February 15, 1914 – September 11, 2010) was a prominent American actor, renowned primarily for his role as the lead in the iconic horror science fiction movie Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956).
Before solidifying his place in cinematic history, McCarthy appeared in a variety of guest roles on television, which helped pave the way for his film career. His first significant film credit came in 1951 with his portrayal of Biff Loman in Death of a Salesman, where he starred alongside Fredric March as Willy Loman. This performance garnered him a Golden Globe Award and earned him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, marking a pivotal moment in his acting journey.
