Raymond Cruz
Biography
Raymond Cruz, born on July 9, 1961, is a talented Mexican American actor recognized for his numerous military and gang-related roles throughout his career. He gained significant attention for his portrayal of Ding Chavez in the 1994 film "Clear and Present Danger." Other notable appearances include "The Substitute," where he played Joey Six, and "From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money" as Jesus. Cruz also featured in "Alien Resurrection" as USM Private Vincent DiStephano and portrayed the character Ramirez in "Under Siege." Additionally, he is remembered for his role as Chuey, a member of the Vatos Locos gang, in the cult classic "Blood In Blood Out," and for playing Chino in "Havoc" (2005).
Cruz's versatility extends to television, where he made guest appearances on iconic series such as "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," "The X-Files," and "24." He also appeared as the father of a murdered girl in an episode of "CSI" and was featured in Madonna's "Vogue" music video.
In 2008, Cruz became widely known for his role as Tuco, a methamphetamine distributor, on the critically acclaimed show "Breaking Bad." He has since been a regular cast member on "The Closer" and has had recurring roles in "My Name Is Earl" and "Nip/Tuck," showcasing his diverse talents in the entertainment industry.
