Robert Higden
Biography
Robert Higden is a distinguished Canadian actor celebrated for his role as the quirky vice-principal Mr. Noseworthy on the beloved YTV series, Radio Active. With a prolific career spanning over three decades, he has appeared in more than 30 feature films, showcasing his versatility alongside notable actors such as Judy Davis in The Reagans, John Travolta in Battlefield Earth, Brad Garrett in Gleason, Gary Sinise in The Human Stain, and Angelina Jolie in Taking Lives.
A founding member of Montreal's On the Spot improv troupe, Robert has been a prominent figure in the improv scene for over ten years. His talent led him to represent Montreal multiple times in the prestigious Just For Laughs Improv Tournament.
In addition to acting, Robert has made a mark as a director, earning a Gemini nomination for his work on the CBC series Edible Incredible. He also received a Canadian Comedy Award nomination for his contributions to Radio Active, where he frequently directed episodes in which he did not appear.
As a writer, Robert has crafted material for various sketch comedy shows and his own stand-up performances. He has penned four feature-length screenplays, which he is currently seeking to produce. His filmmaking endeavors have been recognized at the Actra Shorts Festival, where he won Best Short Film two consecutive years, and at ASM's 48 Hour Film Festival, securing Best Film three out of six times he participated.
