Amelia Bullmore
Biography
Amelia Bullmore, born on January 31, 1964, in London, is a talented English actress and accomplished writer. She pursued her passion for drama at the University of Manchester, which laid the foundation for her career in the performing arts. Initially making her mark as an actress, Bullmore transitioned to writing in 1995, crafting compelling narratives for television series such as "This Life," "Attachments," and "Black Cab."
One of her notable acting roles was as Sonja, the Ukrainian girlfriend of the main character in the beloved comedy "I'm Alan Partridge." Bullmore has also gained recognition for her recent appearances in Direct Line insurance commercials, where she portrays a prospective customer at a car show.
In 2000, Bullmore was a finalist for the prestigious Dennis Potter Award for her 90-minute drama, "The Middle." Her first stage play, "Mammals," received critical acclaim, winning the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and earning a spot on the shortlist for the What's On Best New Comedy Award.
