Margaret Lindsay, born Margaret Kies on September 19, 1910, in the United States, was a prominent film actress whose career flourished primarily during the 1930s and 1940s. A contract player for Warner Bros., she made a significant mark in the industry with her remarkable supporting performances in several notable films. Among her most acclaimed works are the classic dramas "Jezebel" (1938), featuring Bette Davis, and "Scarlet Street" (1945), where she showcased her exceptional talent alongside established stars.
In addition to her key supporting roles, Lindsay also starred in a series of lower-budget films, most notably the Ellery Queen series produced by Columbia Pictures in the early 1940s. Her versatility allowed her to navigate both the high-profile and more modest productions with ease.
