S. J. Suryah, originally named S. Justin Selvaraj, is a multifaceted talent within the Indian film industry, recognized as a director, screenwriter, actor, music composer, and producer. Hailing from Vasudevanallur, Tamil Nadu, Suryah initially explored various career paths before immersing himself in the film realm, where he began as an assistant to esteemed filmmakers Vasanth and Sabapathy.
Marking his directorial debut in 1999 with the hit film *Vaalee*, Suryah quickly rose to prominence, establishing himself as a significant figure in Tamil cinema. His subsequent directorial ventures, such as *Kushi* (2000), *New* (2004), and *Isai* (2015), further solidified his reputation for crafting engaging narratives.
In recent years, Suryah has shifted his focus to acting, earning considerable acclaim for his distinctive portrayals.
