Biography
Peter McDonald, born on January 28, 1972, in Dublin, is a talented Irish actor known for his work in both stage and screen productions. Growing up in the suburb of Mount Merrion in South County Dublin, Peter was influenced by his creative household; his mother, Brenda Costigan, is a noted cookery writer, while his father, Richard McDonald, is involved in the business of selling bailer twine. He also has familial ties to Leigh McDonald in Australia.
Peter's educational journey took him to St. Michael's College on Ailesbury Road, and he later attended University College Dublin, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Fine Arts in English in 1994. His passion for acting blossomed during his university years, as he immersed himself in the vibrant theatre scene. He actively participated in UCD's Drama Society and was a member of the Fly by Night Theatre Company, which helped him hone his skills and gain valuable experience in the performing arts.
