Daniel Bernard "D. B." Sweeney, born on November 14, 1961, is a prominent American actor celebrated for his versatile performances across film and television. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Jackie Willow in Francis Ford Coppola's 1987 film, Gardens of Stone. Sweeney further showcased his talent as Lt. Phil Lowenthal in the 1990 war drama Memphis Belle and as Travis Walton in the 1993 sci-fi thriller Fire in the Sky, where he depicted a compelling true story of alien abduction.
In addition to these roles, Sweeney starred in the romantic sports film The Cutting Edge (1992), which has become a beloved classic, and he was featured in the ensemble cast of Eight Men Out (1988), which recounts the infamous Black Sox scandal in baseball history.
