Jamie Foreman
Biography
Jamie Foreman, born in 1958, is a distinguished English actor renowned for his compelling performances in film and television. He gained significant recognition for his portrayal of Duke in the 2004 crime drama Layer Cake and as the menacing Bill Sikes in Roman Polanski's adaptation of Oliver Twist released in 2005. Foreman's impressive filmography includes notable roles alongside actors such as Ray Winstone and Kathy Burke in Gary Oldman's gritty film Nil by Mouth, as well as parts in acclaimed films like Elizabeth, Gangster No. 1, and Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow. He also made a memorable appearance in the 2006 episode of Doctor Who titled "The Idiot's Lantern" and played a racist taxi driver in The Football Factory. Additionally, Foreman took on the role of Basta in the fantasy film Inkheart and appeared in an episode of Law and Order: UK.
Beyond the screen, Jamie is the son of Freddie Foreman, a notorious former gangster linked to the infamous Kray twins. Recently, he has lent his talents to BBC Radio, portraying the title character in Wes Bell and participating in the six-part series Hazelbeach. He also had a small role in the film I'll Sleep When I'm Dead. An avid supporter of Tottenham Hotspur, Foreman continues to be an influential figure in the entertainment industry.
