Anna Helene Paquin, born on July 24, 1982, is a renowned actress from New Zealand. She entered the world of acting at a young age, having been born in Winnipeg, Canada, and later raised in Wellington. Paquin made her film debut in the acclaimed romantic drama *The Piano* (1993), where her remarkable performance earned her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at just 11 years old, making her the second-youngest Oscar winner in history.
