Biography
Thekla Simona Gelsomina Reuten, born on September 16, 1975, in Bussum, Netherlands, is a talented Dutch actress known for her diverse roles in film and theater. With an Italian mother and a Dutch father, she brings a unique cultural perspective to her performances.
Reuten gained international recognition for her portrayal of Anna, the love interest of Duncan MacLeod, in the 2007 film "Highlander: The Source." She showcased her dramatic talents in the Oscar-nominated films "Twin Sisters," where she played Lotte, and "Everybody's Famous!," in which she took on the role of Debbie.
Her stage work is equally impressive. In 2005, she starred as the bride in Federico García Lorca's "Blood Wedding" at the Almeida Theatre in London, captivating audiences with her powerful performance. Reuten also made her mark in television; she portrayed Mina, a Muslim extremist disguised as a nanny, in the series "Sleeper Cell," which aired in 2006.
