Biography

David Andrews, an accomplished American actor born on January 1, 1952, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has made a significant mark in film and television. He began his academic journey at Louisiana State University before pursuing law at Duke University and later at Stanford Law School, graduating in the late 1970s. Andrews launched his acting career with a memorable role in the iconic 1984 horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street. Throughout the 1980s, he primarily focused on television projects, developing his craft and gaining visibility.

His filmography includes notable roles such as the lead in Stephen King's Graveyard Shift (1990) and James Earp in Kevin Costner's Wyatt Earp (1994). A major turning point came with his role in the TV series Mann & Machine, further solidifying his presence in Hollywood. In 1995, Andrews starred alongside Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon in the critically acclaimed Apollo 13, portraying astronaut Pete Conrad.
