Gary Owens, originally named Gary Bernard Altman, was born on May 10, 1934, and passed away on February 12, 2015. He carved a remarkable career as a disc jockey, voice actor, and radio personality in America, renowned for his distinctive baritone voice and deadpan delivery. Owens gained widespread recognition as the announcer for the iconic television show Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, where his unique style often featured absurd and humorous recitations.
In addition to his work on Laugh-In, Owens lent his voice to several beloved animated characters, most notably the superhero Space Ghost and Blue Falcon in Dynomutt, Dog Wonder. His talent extended to cameo roles, including a memorable appearance as himself in the animated series Space Ghost Coast to Coast in 1998. Owens began his voice acting journey with the character Roger Ramjet in the eponymous cartoon series, showcasing his versatility and skill across various genres.
