Cherlynne Theresa 'Lynne' Thigpen (December 22, 1948 – March 12, 2003) was a prominent American actress celebrated for her impactful contributions to both stage and screen. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of The Chief of ACME Crimenet on the beloved game show *Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?*, along with its various spin-offs. Additionally, she enchanted younger audiences as Luna (The Moon) on the Playhouse Disney series *Bear in the Big Blue House*. Thigpen also showcased her dramatic talents as Ella Farmer in the television series *The District*, which aired from 2000 to 2003.
