Gloria María Milagrosa Estefan, born on September 1, 1957, is a renowned Cuban-American singer, songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur. Celebrated for her remarkable contributions to music, Estefan is a four-time Grammy Award winner and was honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2015 by President Barack Obama. She has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Greatest Artists of All Time by both VH1 and Billboard, with over 100 million records sold globally, solidifying her status as one of the best-selling artists in music history.

Beginning her illustrious career as the lead vocalist of the Miami Latin Boys—later rebranded as Miami Sound Machine—Estefan achieved international fame with the infectious hit "Conga" in 1985. This success was followed by a series of popular tracks throughout the 1980s, including "Anything for You," "1-2-3," and "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You."
