John Carroll Lynch
Biography
John Carroll Lynch, born on August 1, 1963, is a notable American actor recognized for his memorable performances, including the role of Drew Carey's cross-dressing sibling on The Drew Carey Show. He also portrayed Norm, the mild-mannered husband of Margie Gunderson, played by Frances McDormand, in the critically acclaimed film Fargo.
In the fall of 2003, Lynch took on a leading role in the CBS series The Brotherhood of Poland, New Hampshire, alongside prominent actors such as Randy Quaid, Chris Penn, Mare Winningham, Elizabeth McGovern, and Ann Cusack. Unfortunately, the show was canceled after only a handful of episodes. He had a recurring part in the HBO drama Carnivàle, where he depicted Varlyn Stroud, an escaped convict. Additionally, Lynch showcased his versatility as he took on the role of a district attorney in CBS's Close to Home and portrayed NASA official Bob Gilruth in the acclaimed HBO mini-series From the Earth to the Moon. His filmography also includes a role in the 2003 psychological thriller Gothika and the 2007 biographical film Zodiac. Throughout his career, Lynch has demonstrated a broad range of acting skills, contributing significantly to both television and film.
