Houseley Stevenson, born on July 30, 1879, in London, was a distinguished American character actor whose career spanned both film and stage. He embarked on his cinematic journey in 1936, shortly before the rise of television, where he also briefly showcased his talent in early productions. Prior to his film career, Stevenson was known for his live performances in New York, where he often performed under the name Houseley Stevens.
