Damian Robert Chapa, born on October 29, 1963, in Dayton, Ohio, is a prominent Native-Latino American actor, director, and producer. His diverse contributions to film have made him a notable figure in the industry.
Chapa gained recognition early in his career for his compelling performances, including a lead role in Taylor Hackford's critically acclaimed film *Blood In Blood Out* and as Ken in the cinematic adaptation of *Street Fighter*. His creative journey expanded as he transitioned into directing and producing, crafting several films such as *Kill You Twice* (1998), *The Lonely Life of Downey Hall* (2000), *Man of Faith* (2002), *Shade of Pale* (2004), *El Padrino* (2004), and *I.R.A.: King of Nothing* (2006).
In 2009, Chapa showcased his talents as a writer and director with *Polanski Unauthorized*, where he also took on the lead role of Roman Polanski.
