Edward Allen Harris, born on November 28, 1950, is a distinguished American actor and director. He garnered acclaim for his outstanding performances in films such as Apollo 13 (1995), The Truman Show (1998), Pollock (2000), and The Hours (2002), each earning him nominations for the Academy Award.
Throughout his career, Harris has showcased his versatility in a variety of roles, appearing in notable films like Creepshow (1982), The Right Stuff (1983), and A Beautiful Mind (2001). He not only acted in but also directed the biographical drama Pollock and the Western Appaloosa (2008).
