Saïd Taghmaoui, born on July 19, 1973, is a French actor and screenwriter of Moroccan descent. He gained prominence for his powerful portrayal of Saïd in the acclaimed 1995 film *La Haine*, directed by Mathieu Kassovitz, which earned critical acclaim and numerous awards. Taghmaoui has successfully transitioned to English-language cinema, showcasing his versatility in various roles. Notably, he played Captain 'My Main Man' Saïd, a philosophical Iraqi interrogator, in the 1999 film *Three Kings*, which featured a star-studded cast. In addition, he appeared as "Omar," a close Islamic radical associate of Don Cheadle's character Samir, in the 2008 political thriller *Traitor*. With a career spanning several decades, Taghmaoui has established himself as a talented actor capable of delving into complex characters.
