Rama is a talented Indian actress known for her impactful roles in the Tamil film industry. Initially recognized for her skills on the volleyball court, she played for the Tamil Nadu state team before transitioning to acting. Her debut came when renowned director Bharathiraja cast her in the film *En Uyir Thozhan*, marking the start of her cinematic journey.

After a brief hiatus, Rama made a notable comeback in 2010 with her performance in *Aval Peyar Thamizharasi*, which set the stage for her later successes. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Karthi’s fiercely protective mother in the acclaimed film *Madras* (2014), directed by Pa. Ranjith.
