Indro
Biography
Indro was born in Jakarta and pursued his studies at the Faculty of Economics at Universitas Indonesia. His career took a significant turn when he joined the iconic comedy group Warkop Prambors, stepping in to replace Rudi Badil. The original lineup of Warkop included Dono, Kasino, Indro, and the late Nanu, forming a beloved comedic quartet that would later rebrand themselves as Warkop DKI.
Between 1989 and 1993, their films consistently captivated audiences, earning the group an accolade from GPBSI in July 1993 for their enduring popularity in the Indonesian film industry. As the national film scene faced challenges, Warkop transitioned into television, creating a soap opera titled "Warkop DKI," which further solidified their status in the entertainment landscape.
In addition to his comedic talents, Indro is notable for his passion for motorcycling, particularly as the only member of Warkop DKI to indulge in riding large motorcycles, or "moge." Furthermore, he has held the prestigious position of chairman of the Harley Davidson Club Indonesia (HDCI). Indro's contributions to Indonesian comedy and culture remain influential, showcasing his versatility and dedication to his craft throughout his career.
