Thomas Vincent "Tom" Savini, born on November 3, 1946, is a prominent figure in the American film industry, celebrated for his multifaceted roles as an actor, stuntman, director, and acclaimed special effects and makeup artist. Savini gained widespread recognition for his groundbreaking work on George A. Romero's iconic Living Dead series, along with his contributions to cult classics such as Creepshow, The Burning, Friday the 13th, The Prowler, and Maniac. His directorial prowess was showcased in the 1990 remake of Night of the Living Dead, which further solidified his status in horror cinema.
