Colin Moss
Biography
Colin Moss, born in Johannesburg, South Africa, is the son of Veronica Salt and Richard Moss. His diverse background includes English, Irish, Germanic, and South African roots, with a Cockney grandfather adding to his rich heritage. Colin embarked on his artistic journey in the South African comedy scene, honing his skills in stand-up and improvisational performances, which he continues to pursue alongside his acting career. He received formal training at the University of Kwazulu-Natal and soon became a familiar face on various popular South African television shows and films.
Moss gained international recognition with his portrayal of Officer DeWitt in the award-winning period drama, The World Unseen. He then took on significant roles in projects such as Surviving Evil alongside Billy Zane, the BBC adaptation of D.H. Lawrence's Women in Love with Rosamund Pike, and Momentum, where he acted alongside Olga Kurylenko, James Purefoy, and Morgan Freeman. His theatrical credits include compelling performances in Neil LaBute's Fat Pig and David Hare's My Zinc Bed.
In 2015, Colin made a bold move to New York City, seeking new challenges. He joined The Talent House and quickly landed a recurring role as Justin Boden in Marvel's acclaimed Netflix series, Jessica Jones, sharing the screen with David Tennant and Krysten Ritter. His impressive career continued with roles in Netflix's Black Mirror, HBO's The Deuce with Maggie Gyllenhaal, and the film Then Came You with Maisie Williams. Notably, in 2019, he secured his first regular series role in SyFy Channel's Vagrant Queen, marking a significant milestone in his American television career.
