Dane Jeffrey Cook, born on March 18, 1972, is a prominent American stand-up comedian and actor known for his energetic performances and unique comedic style. Over the years, he has released five successful comedy albums, including Harmful If Swallowed, Retaliation, Vicious Circle, Rough Around The Edges: Live From Madison Square Garden, and Isolated Incident. Notably, Retaliation achieved remarkable success, becoming the highest-charting comedy album in nearly three decades and earning platinum status.
In the fall of 2006, Cook showcased his talents in the HBO special Vicious Circle and later released a straight-to-DVD special, Rough Around The Edges, which is part of the album of the same name. His Comedy Central special, Isolated Incident, aired in 2009, further solidifying his standing in the comedy world.
Cook is recognized for being one of the pioneers in utilizing personal websites and platforms like MySpace to connect with fans, earning him the label of "alarmingly popular" in 2006.
