Wesley "Wes" Studi, born on December 17, 1947, is a distinguished American actor of Cherokee descent, celebrated for his authentic representations of Native American characters in cinema. His impressive filmography includes acclaimed Academy Award-winning titles like Dances with Wolves, directed by Kevin Costner, and Michael Mann's The Last of the Mohicans. He also starred in the noteworthy Geronimo: An American Legend and the Oscar-nominated The New World released in 2005.
