Philippe Blanchard, widely recognized as Philippe Katerine, was born on December 8, 1968. He is a multifaceted French artist known for his work as a singer-songwriter, actor, director, and writer, launching his career in 1991. Katerine has produced several notable singles, including "Mon cœur balance," "Je vous emmerde," and "Louxor j'adore."

Initially, his musical approach blended easy-listening elements with bossa nova influences, often presenting lyrics that oscillated between dark humor and existential angst.
