Biography
Ron Moody, born Ronald Moodnick on January 8, 1925, was a distinguished English actor, singer, and writer whose talent left a significant mark on stage and screen. He gained widespread acclaim for his unforgettable role as Fagin in the classic musical Oliver!, first gracing the screen in the 1968 film adaptation and later reprising his role in the 1983 Broadway revival. Moody's versatility as a performer allowed him to shine in various other films, including The Mouse on the Moon (1963), The Twelve Chairs (1970), and A Kid in King Arthur's Court (1995).
In addition to his impressive acting career, Moody was a devoted family man. He was married to Therese Blackbourn for the entirety of his life until his passing on June 11, 2015. Together, they raised six children, showcasing his commitment to both his craft and his family.
