Biography
Michael Wright, born on April 6, 1956, is an accomplished American actor renowned for his portrayal of Eddie Kane, Jr. in the 1991 film "The Five Heartbeats," directed by Robert Townsend. His television career began with a notable role in the acclaimed 1983 NBC miniseries "V," followed by its sequel, "V: The Final Battle," and the subsequent series "V: The Series," where he played Elias Taylor. Wright also appeared in the iconic 1987 episode "The Savage" of "Miami Vice" and portrayed Omar White in HBO's groundbreaking series "Oz" from 2001 to 2003.
In addition to his television work, Wright made a memorable impact in film, playing Clinton, the leader of The Del Bombers in the cult classic "The Wanderers." His filmography includes a role as Victor Duncan in the 1987 drama "The Principal," alongside James Belushi, and he shared the screen with Wesley Snipes in the 1994 film "Sugar Hill." His most recent film appearance was in 2005's "The Interpreter." Beyond his prominent roles, Wright has made guest appearances on various shows, including "New York Undercover."
