Biography
Sarah Kate Silverman, born on December 1, 1970, is a celebrated American comedian, actress, and writer known for her incisive humor that tackles social issues and contentious subjects, including racism, sexism, homophobia, politics, and religion. Often employing a satirical or deadpan style, Silverman’s comedy challenges societal norms. She has earned two Primetime Emmy Awards for her exceptional contributions to television.
Silverman was a prominent writer and performer on "Saturday Night Live" early in her career and gained further recognition as the creator and star of "The Sarah Silverman Program," which aired on Comedy Central from 2007 to 2010, earning her a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. In 2010, she published her memoir, "The Bedwetter." Her television appearances include roles in "Mr. Show" and "V.I.P.," while her film credits feature "Who's the Caboose?" (1997), "School of Rock" (2003), "Wreck-It Ralph" (2012), "A Million Ways to Die in the West" (2014), and "Ralph Breaks the Internet" (2018).
