Marilù Tolo, born Maria Lucia Tolo on January 16, 1944, is a renowned Italian film actress whose career spans over two decades. Hailing from Rome, she began her professional journey in the entertainment industry at a young age, working as an assistant to Mario Riva on the popular RAI variety show, Il Musichiere. Tolo made her cinematic debut at just 16 years old in the film Sweet Deceptions, directed by Alberto Lattuada.
Throughout her career, Tolo appeared in more than 60 films from 1960 to 1985, establishing herself as a prominent figure in Italian cinema. In addition to her acting, she gained recognition as a fashion model, often collaborating with leading designers. One of her closest friends was the iconic Italian fashion designer Valentino, who, in an interview with La Repubblica, expressed that Tolo was the only woman he had ever truly loved.
