Nicole Maurey (December 20, 1925 – March 11, 2016) was a renowned French actress who featured in 65 films and television shows throughout her career from 1945 to 1997. Born in Bois-Colombes, a suburb located to the northwest of Paris, Maurey initially pursued a career in dance before transitioning to acting. Her film debut occurred in 1944, and she gained significant recognition for her role opposite Charlton Heston in the film Secret of the Incas (1954), a work often regarded as a key influence on the iconic Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).
In the latter part of her career, Maurey shifted her focus to television, where she took part in various made-for-TV films and mini-series, showcasing her versatility as an actress.
