Toshiyuki Teruya, known in the entertainment world as Gori or Gorie Matsuura, was born on May 22, 1972, in Naha, Okinawa, Japan. Gori is a multifaceted talent, excelling as a Ryukyuan comedian, variety show host, voice actor, film director, and musician. He is prominently recognized as a member of the comedic ensemble Garage Sale, where his unique style and humor have captivated audiences.
One of Gori's standout ventures includes his portrayal of a schoolgirl character named Gorie, where he performed in drag, showcasing his versatility and comedic flair. His musical endeavors have also been notable; he collaborated with artists Jasmine Ann Allen and Joann Yamazaki to produce three successful singles, with one of their hits, "Mickey," achieving the top position on the Oricon charts in 2004.
