Liu Kai-Chi
Biography
Liu Kai-Chi is a prominent actor hailing from Hong Kong, recognized for his relatable and versatile supporting roles in various film and television projects. A devoted Christian, Liu has participated in numerous productions that explore Christian themes. He dedicated 25 years of his career to TVB, Hong Kong’s pioneering commercial television station, but chose not to renew his contract in 2005.
Tragedy struck Liu on April 5, 2006, when his youngest son passed away after a courageous three-year battle with leukemia. Born in 2000, his son’s death deeply affected Liu and his family. He and his wife, fellow Hong Kong actress Chan Man-yee, are also parents to two older sons, born in 1994 and 1998.
Interestingly, Liu shares his birthday, April 7, with the internationally acclaimed actor Jackie Chan, with whom he had the opportunity to star in the action film "New Police Story." Throughout his career, Liu Kai-Chi has earned respect and admiration for his talent and the authenticity he brings to his performances, making him a beloved figure in Hong Kong's entertainment industry.
